The NYC InfraGard Members Alliance will consider teaming with other industry leaders during 2010.

To date we have confirmed two conferences for which the Alliance is a critical path partner and deeply involved in its development.

The First:

We will be teaming with Major Richard Hughbank US Army (ret) and CEO of XTC Consulting to produce Counter Terrorism NYC 2010.  Richard's bio is impressive to say the very least a member of InfraGard NY and those who had the opportunity to see Richard in January 2008 were certainly not disappointed.  This conference will be a three day event with the first being a InfraGard networking event {FREE} with the FBI providing a series of presentations.  Day 2 and Day 3 will be training presentations by a number of paid presenters.  The cost for this event will be three hundred dollars with discounts for secure members of our alliance.  InfraGard feels that with the presentation of KSM for trail in the Southern District of NY by Attorney General Eric Holder makes a unpresented need for training and for our members to be on high alert just to manage the safety and security posture the City of NY takes to run this "National Security Event" not the very least of which are the connected security risk management implications to our critical infrastructures in NY.  So we felt this conference scheduled for March 3rd, 4th and 5th to be very, very timely and important for most to attend all three days.  Look for more details during the first week of January 2010.

The Second:

The Computer Forensics Show is a terrific event that has taken place in the past on the West Coast and in Washington, DC.  Frank Manley of CFS and Phil Froehlich of our NY Metro Alliance are spearheading the initiative.  This is going to be a terrific event for investigators, accountants, lawyers and cyber sleuths of all degrees.  This event will be a two day event held April 19th and 20th and will be staged right across the street from the Empire State Building in Manhattan.  More information on this conference will be forthcoming during the month of January 2010.  WE ARE CURRENTLY SOLICITING PAPERS for presentation at the conference.  Please visit our Call for Papers page for more information

The Third:

Health Care is on the minds of many Americans as we close 2009 and open the door to 2010.  We have a great team of InfraGard Members stepping up to examine what the issues will be for 2010 and onward.  Our chair is not only a NY InfraGard Member but fully engaged in the health care community.  We are also very grateful for the assistance offered by a number of our members in hospitals across Manhattan to develop this program.  We are tentatively looking at May 2010 to hold this event.  If you would like to be involved in the planning committee for this event just let us know.

The Fourth:

We are looking for members from the financial services community to assist us in tracking changes to federal regulations and highlighting issues as we move into the fall of 2010.  We would like to hold our next Financial Services Summit in the Fall of 2010.  We would like compliance, CSO's, ISO's and others involved the development of this event.

The Fifth:

The FBI will once again hold their ICS event with Fordham University during August of 2010.  Our alliance has reached out to the FBI to see if InfraGard can have any involvement with this conference.  However, members must understand this is an FBI and Fordham managed event.

The Sixth:

You will hear us continue to plug InfraGard Online or IGtv for the next several months.  We will be using our Video Streaming Operations each Tuesday beginning on Tuesday, January 5th with a wide variety of content to keep our members fully informed and up to date.  As we move along we will host an on demand version for replay.  Not all of this will be FREE, Premium Members will have special access rights and notifications.
