Joseph Concannon

President and CEO
Mr. Concannon is a founder of InfraGard's NYC Alliance. His vision and endless energy pushes the alliance forward with five distinct programs: 1) monthly security summits, 2) IGtv, 3) Thursday Conference calls, 4) On Demand Video and 5) The InfraGard Learning Series, all which the NYC Alliance has been leading with. His 25 year law enforcement career with the NYPD has broadly prepared him in understanding government and ranged from planning city-wide emergency management protocols and operations to directing and coordinating the early computer operations, LAN management in New York City and government oversight. During his career Mr. Concannon been responsible for developing the Mayor's Office of Emergency Management and coordinating the response to all large-scale emergencies within the City of New York.

In addition, Mr. Concannon was the senior analyst in the Mayor's Office for all public safety agencies within the City of New York. Has both internal and external investigative experiences with NYPD and the Mayor's Office. Over the course of his career Mr. Concannon has been the recipient of over 17 NYPD awards and commendations. Mr Concannon has taught at the University level and develops the vision and strategies for InfraGard in NYC to produce a successful, self sustaining program and Not For Profit business. The FBI has recognized Mr. Concannon locally in NYC as well as Nationally for both his commitment to the program, national security and excellence as a leader in the security industry.

Mr. Concannon holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Public Administration from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York. Mr. Concannon is a native of NYC, loves sports and currently resides in New York with his wife and three children.

John is a is a founder of the New York Metro InfraGard Members Alliance and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) with more than 20 years experience in information systems and security. He has also attained the National Security Agency certificate in INFOSEC Assessment Methodology (IAM) and INFOSEC Evaluation Methodology (IEM).

He is currently the Director, Information Systems & Security for one of te largest water systems in New York State. His responsibilities include all technology resources, disaster recovery, emergency response and is a representative to the Water Information Sharing and Analysis Center (WaterISAC). He has performed multiple roles as an independent consultant providing technical and administrative information systems design, security auditing and assessment, training programs as well as forensic investigation services for mid-sized and international organizations.

John lives with his wife and children on Long Island.

Phil is a principal of Froehlich Management Consulting, which he founded to help bring new and emerging, innovative security products to market. Prior to this Mr. Froehlich held senior product and brand management positions in the information security industry in which he successfully helped to reshape the role of enterprise security solutions to meet the growing demands of Internet-based computing. Specializing in identity and access management, he led several initiatives to restructure security at major insurance and pharmaceutical companies.

Mr. Froehlich has advised Fortune 500 organizations and government agencies worldwide, along with lecturing extensively, writing on security issues and training hundreds of technology and marketing professionals. He continually strives to improve industry awareness and practices through service to InfraGard, as a Project Officer for the SHARE Security Project, and an active participant in law enforcement task forces and various special interest and working groups.

Mr. Froehlich brings additional critical infrastructure experience to InfraGard through his more than twenty years of service in emergency medical services. He initiated and led in-house EMS capabilities at several employer sites, resulting in significant time savings in the delivery of life-saving care. He currently participates actively on a metropolitan emergency medical services unit where he has served as a tactical training director and Tour Chief. He was recently awarded the 2006 Chamber of Commerce Award for his leadership and innovations there.
