Premium Membership

Summary

This membership level, available to any Secure InfraGard Member, will entitle subscribers to additional value-added benefits over and above those enjoyed by the general membership. The application is your initial application to become a Secure Member of the FBI's National InfraGard Program. ALL secure members remain a part of the FBI National InfraGard Program, which is FREE, and continue to receive the benefits to which they are entitled under that program, including MOST general meetings and MOST networking opportunities. Premium Alliance Membership is only for those "Secure Members" who have already been vetted by the FBI and once the alliance has received your payment for Premium Alliance Membership you will be officially welcomed to the alliance at the Premium Alliance Membership level.  We will reserve the right to allow for special circumstances, should they arise.   (Rev.3/2011)

The Who, What, Where, When, Why, and How

Introduction:

The NYC Metro InfraGard Members Alliance, Inc. (NYM IMA) has continually delivered high-quality programs of exceptional value to its members for more than eight years, all at no charge. We operated under the philosophy that “money should be no barrier to security.” As a result, membership in the Alliance has grown to more than one thousand. However, as a result of the convergence of our rapid expansion and the downturn in the economy, we project that current levels of funding will not be sufficient to fuel our projected growth. Conversely, this growth is necessary for us to continue to deliver the value our members have come to expect. In order to continue to be a premier provider of services and opportunities for our members, we must strike a balance between affordability of our programs and sustenance of our organization. Our basic philosophy will not change; however, as we develop new, value-added services, appropriate fee-based structures will be implemented. In short, members will continue to enjoy all the benefits of NYM IMA membership they appreciate today, including general meetings and networking events. As new services are available, members and others will be asked to pay reasonable fees to make those services possible. A subscription-based, single, annual (calendar year) membership fee – a “Premium Alliance Membership” – will afford InfraGard members exclusive networking and educational events, special updates, and discounts on a variety of services and products marketed in cooperation with NYM IMA. These benefits may include:

· An exclusive Membership ID identifying the cardholder as a supporter and Premium Member {Confirmed}

· An NYM IMA affinity item as a “thank you” bonus for supporting the Alliance {TBD what's of interest}

· Exclusive access to special on-site and live broadcast networking or educational events

· Exclusive access to invited SME guest forums {Building this now}

· Reduced rates on fee-based events and live and on-demand broadcasts

· Discounts on NYM IMA and partner training courses, along with other partner products and services, such as cellular service, technology items, insurance, car rentals, and more {Car rentals Jan1, 2010} {Event discounts - ongoing}

· Access to the NYM IMA broadcast archives (more than 100 video's available on our blog}

· Book Discounts from major professional, technical, and trade publishers {Fatal System Error, Skating on ICE during 2010}

· Discounts to our exclusive NYM IMA corporate gift catalog {TBA during our online events...during the events}

For the Alliance, "Premium Alliance Membership" fees will provide NYM IMA management better revenue predictability. This will enable more consistent and accurate budgeting of expenses such as rent, utilities, professional and user fees, transportation, and capital expenses, including video production equipment. It will allow advance commitment to projects and initiatives that will benefit the NYM IMA and national InfraGard membership and the communities we serve. In addition, fee-based revenue structures including "Premium Alliance Membership" will add credibility to the Alliance when collaborating with members’ companies, other not-for-profit organizations and trade associations, government agencies, legislators, and even the Bureau with whom we deal regularly. This revenue will help enable the future growth we project including equipment and staffing. In the end, it will enable us to provide more and better service to our members.  NYM IMA "Premium Alliance Membership" is available to any current secure InfraGard member.   If you are not a secure member of InfraGard but would still like to be considered for "Premium Alliance Membership" call us.  (Rev. 1/2011)

Membership Process:

To subscribe for NYC InfraGard's "Premium Alliance Membership" and register for this site, be a secure member of the FBI's National InfraGard Program and donate a minimum of $125 using the PayPal button on our home page. Next, Register for the site using the same email address that you entered in PayPal. Your registration will be approved within 1-2 business days after your donation and completed site registration are received. "Premium Alliance Membership" is granted for the current calendar year only. To continue membership in following years, users must donate the required amount each year at the start of the year. InfraGard is a non-profit organization and all contributions are tax deductible. Thank you for your support in protecting America's critical infrastructure!  (Rev. 1/2011)

Discounts to Premium Alliance Membership:
There may be instances where in the Alliance chooses to discount membership fees to returning US Military, heartships, sudden lost of employment and similar types of situations.  Consideration will also be shown to those members who actively participate within the alliance to help us build the program.  Participation will be judged on a case by case basis and it will have to be shown that a constructive need was filled. 

Also, those corporations who would like a team of employees to become InfraGard "Premium Alliance Members" should contact us and we will work within the bounds of our Corporate Associate Program and Premium Membership program to grant the best outcome for all.

Lastly, secure members of InfraGard who serve on our board will receive a twenty-five dollar discount.  Members of ongoing committee's may at some time in the future be considered for this discount as well.  Companies and individuals are invited to make ad hoc contributions at any level outside the purview of "Premium Alliance Members" and we will apply it to the Corporate Associate Program.  (Rev. 1/2011)
